Since 1996, former artillery barracks near Tynec town have been housing the exposition of the Military Technical Museum of the Military Historical Institute of Prague.
Currently, the museum´s collections consist of more than 450 historical tanks, cannons, motorcycles, armoured fighting vehicles , military trucks and personnel vehicles from 1890 up to now.

The collections are on public display in seven halls, under 6 shelters and in an open-air space. They are including also many world rarities. The museum ranks among the most significant European institutions of its kind.
In particular , the collection of Czechoslovak military transport vehicles from the period between 1918 and 1939 and a unique collection of Skoda cannons are of world importance.

June and September – on weekends only from 9,00 a.m. – 5,00 p.m.
July and August – every day except Mondays and Tuesday from 9,00 a.m. – 5,00 p.m.
