DAY 1
Franz Kafka city tour in Prague
Prague is Kafka´s native city. He was born here in 1883. He spent almost all his
life here, here he was laid to rest. Prague with its specific preconditions,
Prague with its history and fast-going transformations at the beginning of the
20th century marked his soul, destiny and work.
Sirem
We can show you the village where Franz Kafka
spent eight months of his life, the place that
inspired him to write “The Castle“, and where
he authored his “Aphorisms“and “Diaries“ as
well as several other works.
Zatec
It is possible to make a short stop in the town that has got the 700 years tradition of brewing. The movies "Yentl", "Les Miserables", "Oliver Twist", "Kolja", "Edith Piaf", "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" were made in the historical center.
Litomerice
Nice historical town to stay over the night.

The relatives of Franz Kafka were send to the concentration camp Terezin during WWII. Only the daughters of his sister Ottla survived, because of their Czech father. The uncle Siegfried Lowy comitted suicide the day of the transport.

Two small places Franz Kafka visited.
In Zelizy he wrote "The Letter to Father" he never send to him.
It is possible to see in the forest, after 50 metres of climbing, so called the Devils´ heads, cut off the sandstone rock by the sculptor Vaclav Levy in the 19th century.
In Libechovice is possible to follow the restored old historical Cross Stations to get by the Chappel of All the Saints, Franz Kafka used to sit by to see the view of the beautiful countryside. There is a nice place to stay overnight, we recommend.
